Do you receive unsolicited business call from telemarketers?

Here is a solution - DNC registration. The primary objective of the National Do Not Call Registry (NDNC Registry) is to curb Unsolicited Commercial Communication (UCC). To implemet this, BSNL introduces "Do Not Call (DNC) Registry Service" to its valued customers to enable him/her to avoid such calls.  BSNL will acknowledge the request within 10 days. Requests will become effective in 45 days from the date of request. Subscriber may confirm whether their number is included in the NDNC registry home page

Get yourself registered in the Do Not Call Registry through one of the the following four easy steps.

For BSNL Mobile Customers: BSNL Mobile customers can SMS their request to activate or deactivate  DND service.
  • To activate: send SMS as "START DND " to 1909 to include the no. in DND registry.
  • To deactivate: send SMS as "STOP DND " to 1909 to remove the no. from registry
For Landline Customers: The customer is to call tolfree no. 1909 from the telephone which he/she wants to be included to or excluded from the DND registry.

Through BSNL Cutomer Care Portal: The customer also has the option of directly feeding his/her request in the Customer Care Portal. The customer has to register on this portal. After registration and logging into the module, the customer has to click the DND registry service. If there is no phone number and account already added against the customer, then he will be redirected to add a phone account. In this screen the customer has to feed the STD code plus the phone number and unique ID or account number. After adding the phone no customer will be asked to call 1500 for activation code to get a 4 digit code. This code will be utilized by the customer to activate the phone number on Customer Care Portal. This is a one time activity. Next time onward, customer is free to access the Customer Care Portal through the login ID and activate or deactivate this phone number in the DND registry.

Personal Request: The customer can approach any Customer Service Centres of BSNL with his/her hand written request for the DND registry service.
